Crisis and Emergency Communications

I posses strong interest in the strategic work involved in executing effective emergency and crisis communications. During my time at Fanshawe I have been responsible for various aspects of the emergency communications plan including:
• Proactive and reactive media and social media monitoring via Talkwalker
• Website (Drupal and Sharepoint) news and emergency banner publishing
• Digital signage emergency takeover
• App Armour emergency notification system deployment
• Multiplatform social media publishing and monitoring
• Developing templated phone messaging for deployment

I've been a key contributor to Fanshawe's Crisis Communications plan building messaging and visual templating for a variety of potential scenarios and documenting processes relating to digital platforms.

In 2024 I took my interest in Emergency Communications to #PSEWEB where I shared my insights into emergency communications for higher education.
